Narrated An-Nu’man bin Bashir: I heard Allah’s Apostle saying, ‘Both Halaal (permissible) and Haraam (forbidden) things are evident but in between them there are doubtful (suspicious) things and most of the people have no knowledge about them. So whoever saves himself from these suspicious things saves his religion and his honor. And whoever indulges in these suspicious things is like a shepherd who grazes (his animals) near the Hima (private pasture) of someone else and at any moment he is liable to get in it. (O people!) Beware! Every king has a Hima and the Hima of Allah on the earth is His forbidden things. (Al-Bukhari 2:49)

حضرت نعمان بن بشیر رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا-”میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو فرماتے سنا کہ حلال واضع ہے اور حرام بھی واضع ہے اور ان دونوں کے درمیان مشتبہ چیزیں ہیں جن کو بہت سے لوگ نہیں جانتے۔ پس جو مشتبہ چیزوں سے بچا تو اس نے اپنے دین اور اپنی عزت کو بچا لیا اور جو ان میں پڑ گیا ایسے ہے جیسے وہ چرواہا جو کسی اور کی چراگاہ کے گرد چراتا ہے- خدشہ ہے کے اس میں داخل ہو جائے- آگاہ رہو کہ ہر بادشاہ کی چراگاہ ہوتی ہے- آگاہ ہو جائو کہ زمین میں اللہ کی چراگاہ اس کی حرام ٹھرائی ہوئی چیزیں ہیں“۔
